Quartz

The soft beauty and durability of Quartz makes it an excellent choice for any environment. Quartz countertops are heat resistant up to 400 degrees, scratch resistant, non-porous and stain resistant. Best of all it requires no sealing ever! Quartz comes in a wide variety of colours and patterns. With so many options available today your dream kitchen or spa bathroom retreat is just waiting for your imagination to take charge!

Quartz countertops are made of 93% natural quartz, one of nature’s hardest minerals. The quartz is combined with high-quality polymer resins and pigments and then compacted under intense vacuum, vibration and pressure to form dense, non-porous slabs. The slabs are cured, then gauged to precise thickness, and polished to a lustrous shine. Quartz slabs are available in both 2cm (¾”) and 3cm (1¼”) approximate thickness, unless otherwise stated.

Quartz countertops are simple to clean with mild soap and water making it extremely low maintenance.  Wipe up any spills immediately; e.g. red wine, mustard, oils, tomato juice or sauces, other acidic foods, etc. Only use cleaners specifically formulated for use on quartz.  Avoid the use of any strong chemicals, solvents, abrasive pads, powders, creams as they may discolor, dull or etch the surface. Do not cut directly on quartz countertops, always use a cutting board. Never place hot pots directly on your countertops as damage may occur due to thermal shock.  Always place hot pots on stove top, trivets or hot pads.
